The Justice Department Inspector General has released a harshly critical report about the FBI's handling of investigations into allegations of child exploitation. And this report identifies multiple ways in which the FBI is continuing to fall short in these types of investigations.
The following defendants were sentenced in Cayuga County Court in Auburn the week of Monday, Feb. 10, to Friday, Feb. 14:
• Kyra Campbell-Royea, of Auburn, was sentenced Feb. 11 by Judge Jon Budelmann to 1.5 to three years for first-degree criminal contempt and 1 1/3 to four years on a violation of probation. The sentences will run concurrently.
• Paul R. Currier, 39, of Auburn, was sentenced Feb. 11 by Budelmann to 5.5 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision for second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
• Charles A. Donato, 47, of Auburn, was sentenced Feb. 11 by Budelmann to 3.5 years in state prison to be served as parole supervision followed by two years of post-release supervision for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• Paul B. Bovee, 37, of Syracuse, was sentenced Feb. 13 by Judge Thomas Leone to five years in state prison followed by 1.5 years of post-release supervision for third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance.
• Jeffrey J. Tillmon, 42, was resentenced Feb. 13 by Leone to seven years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision for second-degree burglary.
